Interestingly, the name of my town used to be Jericho. I grew up with "The Olde Jericho Tavern" as a main attraction here in town. Wonder why they chose the name.

Reminds me of the time back in the '70's while looking for speakers to spend $800 on in Minneapolis. In the back of one shop they where building a horn that must have been 8 feet by 8 feet at the mouth and something like 24 feet long for just one driver.Ok, it must have been less than 7'X7' or they wouldn't have gotten it out of the door.
OK, i suppose 17kW power handling and 148db of continuous output is approaching biblical proportions.
Wow ABGW! while i was loosely familiar with Jericho's biblical significance, i really had no idea there was so much literal correlation, certainly Mr Danley or someone working closely with him did.
Pish Posh.
From Danley Sound Labs, the military asked them to build a sound projectile capable of over 100 dB at 15~20Hz from 250 meters away, what the military would use it for is a mystery but here's what they came up with...
Specification
-3dB @ 12 Hz and flat from 15-80 Hz. 105 dB @ 250 meters(~273 yards)
- x40 Subwoofers
- x40 1,000 Watt amplifiers
- 20?€™ x 8?€™ x 8?€™ Cargo container
- 53 Sheets 4'x8' 18mm 13 ply Baltic Birch plywood
- 645 feet of 3" x 3" 1/4" angle iron
- 23 feet of 4" x 4" square steel tubing
- 39 feet of 1" x 1" X 1/4" angle iron
- 23 lbs of .030 welding wire
- 95 Tubes of heavy duty construction adhesive

Your neighbors called. They like your music.
The military has apparently been at this for a long time. I read about experiments with high-powered plane wave tubes. I'm sure you guys have seen this already:
